About The Talking Feather
The Talking Feather is American owned and operated by a family that has been actively involved in scouting for more than 25 years. Gene, Linda and their son, Jacob are all Vigil Honor members of the Order of the Arrow and have been actively involved in both ceremony and dance competion for many years.

We began our operation, at Jacobs' urging, after he returned from an Order of the Arrow meeting. We quickly learned that there was no readily available source of supplies and material that was affordable for these young men. Jacob told us that many of those present were interested in learning about Native American culture and making their own ceremony and dance regalia.

The Talking Feather opened its' door at our 1995 Section Conclave when we began supplying our local council trading post with Native American craft supplies and handcrafted products. We have been a proud supplier for the council Trading Post since that time.

Gene is serving as the Native American Events Advisor for his Order of the Arrow Section and is very familiar with Native American customs and traditions.
